David Millili, CEO
Mr. Millili has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. As a former hotel General Manager, he has practical experience in all aspects of hotel operations and management. As the General Manager of two Times Square hotels (the Mayfair New York and the Belvedere Hotel), Mr. Millili’s experiences range from managing pre-opening operations to spearheading budgets in excess of $5 million annually. Open Hospitality is Mr. Millili's second online venture. As co-founder of Timeless Hospitality, David was directly responsible for the successful launch of a start up company that generated profits within six months of launch, generated over $20 million in revenues for hotel clients in 2002 and raised $1.5 million in venture capital funds. Timeless Hospitality provided hotels with internet reservations, marketing and management products and was one of the first e-commerce platforms developed for the exclusive purpose of generating web reservations for independent hotels. He currently teaches a course on distribution at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management.
Chris Wichers, Executive Vice President
Mr. Wichers brings over 30 years of experience to Open’s team. He heads the company’s brand marketing, direct sales, partner sales and account management functions. Previously Wichers was the Chief Operating Officer of Lanyon Inc. where he was responsible for the management and operations of all global sales, operations and product development functions. Wichers’ background includes hotel industry senior leadership roles with Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Hilton Hotels Corporation. He holds certifications as a hotel administrator, project manager, network engineer and is active in major hospitality trade associations and related industry initiatives.
Steven Gravitz, Vice President, Technology
As VP of Technology at Open Hospitality, Steve is responsible for all application and new product development, including our industry leading online booking engine. He currently oversees a team of eight developers and plays an active role in web design. As Manager of Database Development at DraftFCB, the Direct Marketing unit of the Interpublic Group, Steve introduced the use of object oriented techniques and the .NET Framework to the development team. Applications were developed for agency clients AstraZeneca, Sanofi, Bank of America, and Verizon. Most recently, he has been hard at work learning version 4 of the Framework as well as exploring agile and extreme programming techniques.
Arthur Langer, CFO
Mr. Langer is a CPA and has been CFO for more than 25 years. A graduate of Baruch College CUNY, Mr. Langer has broad experience in service related industries including advertising, legal and architecture. His skills and abilities contribute to Open Hospitality’s ability to react quickly to changing conditions and client needs.
